María Echaniz is a commercial photographer based in Portland, Oregon, specializing in food, product, and brand photography for local businesses.

My work is rooted in helping restaurants, cafés, makers, food brands, farms, and small businesses tell their story through thoughtful, useful visuals.

I photograph the food, products, people, spaces, and small details that make each business unique, creating content for websites, menus, social media, Google Business Profiles, and marketing materials.

Before photography became my profession, I spent years creating recipes, photographing food, and producing digital content through my food blog and YouTube channel. That experience gives me a deep understanding of food styling, storytelling, and how visuals need to work across different platforms.

With a background in engineering and project management, I bring organization, reliability, and attention to detail to every project while keeping the experience collaborative and approachable.

Originally from Córdoba, Argentina, I’ve called Portland home for over a decade. When I’m not behind the camera, you’ll usually find me experimenting in the kitchen, exploring local cafés and markets, hiking, or spending time with my husband and kids.
